DESCRIPTION:Following the success of its Bollywood Night in 2011, Hygi
 enic Art is excited to present another Indian film evening as part of 
 its Summer Flickers programming in 2012.\n“Masala Popcorn,” held o
 n Wednesday, July 18, 2012 from 6:30pm, will showcase three short film
 s made by directors from India, introduced by film scholar Dr. Yogini 
 Joglekar.\nThe short films are: The Eclipse of Taregna (Director: Rake
 sh Chaudhary, 2011), Do Pahar (Two Moments; Director: Shazia Shrivasta
 va, 2011), and Fatakra (Fireworks, Director: Soham Mehta, 2011).\nIn a
 ddition, the evening will feature henna art, food, and a discussion wi
 th director Rakesh Chaudhary. The Eclipse of Taregna (Dir. Rakesh Chau
 dhary, 2011)\nMr. Pathak is worn out by life, and indifferent to NASA'
 s announcement that the best place to view the upcoming solar eclipse 
 will be his town Taregna. However, his grandson Roshan's curiosity for
  the celestial event of a lifetime is boundless. When Pathak finally n
 otices that Roshan needs a father figure, he can no longer remain a by
 stander to life.\nDo Pahar (Afternoon; Dir. Shazia Shrivastava and Sha
 rifa Roy, 2011) Do Pahar is about an unlikely bond that develops betwe
 en an old woman and a hit man. As the afternoon progresses in wait for
  hit man Bilal's target, the elderly Sudha kindles in him humanity and
  a few forgotten memories of his childhood while he, in turn, instills
  in her a newfound fortitude.\nFatakra (Fireworks, Dir. Soham Mehta, 2
 011) Naveen left India to chase his dreams in America. Three years and
  a recession later, his wife and son finally join him. FATAKRA (\"Fire
 cracker\") tells the story of the sparks that fly on their first day t
