Please join us this Saturday, July 14 at 1pm in the Hygienic Art Park for the official launch of Wall to Wall: The New London Mural Walk. Mural artists and artist teams along, partnering organizations, portrait models, and members of the community will all be on hand to celebrate this newest addition to New London's incredible menu of artistic, cultural, and historic offerings! We hope to see you there!
City Canvases is one of seven public art projects commissioned by the Connecticut Department of Economic Development in an effort to economically revitalize urban centers in Connecticut through large scale public art projects. The Wall To Wall: New London Mural Walk is the most ambitious public art project in the state and is led by Hygienic Art. Inc. The Wall To Wall includes sixteen murals in a six block radius. The project is made possible by the State of Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD), with assistance from the National Endowment for the Arts, City Center District, Water Street Garage, City of New London, and Hygienic Art, Inc.
