Painting from around '86 (I almost never paint), before any art training, before I ever heard of Hygienic, using old partially dried-up tubes of paint found in my grandparents' garage. Inspiration was a shadow that fell across the page when I was sitting outside work one late afternoon on break reading Slaves of New York.
