You can use iron oxide up to cone 10, in reduction and oxidation. I have a small paragon test kiln for now. The opening is 8 x 8 inches. It keeps my work small but I am just grateful to have a way to finish my work.

Hi Kay

Some of the dogs are burnished and some have an ironoxide wash. My kiln either over fires or under fires, it keeps me from using glazes. What type of kiln do you have?

Hi Kay
I tried to send this as an e-mail but have no idea how. What kind of clay do you use? It looks like the earthenware clay that I use. Or is it stoneware in a reduction fire?
