"All these sheepheaded bourgeois prigs who endlessly spout words like 'immoral, immorality, immorality in art', or other such idiocies, remind me of that five franc whore Louise Villedieu, who once accompanied me through the Louvre - it was her first visit - only to blush most deeply, veil her face, tug continually at my sleeve, and ask me, before sundry immortal statues and paintings, how it were possible that someone be allowed to put such indecencies on public display?"
