A few years ago if you had mentioned social networking and blogging to me I would have laughed it off and forgotten about it almost immediately. I thought my immediate surroundings and the people who already knew me were enough. Boy was I WRONG! In order to get noticed, people have to know you're out there. You've got to be the one to say Hi... I'm Here.
I’ve come to realize that in today's world if you don't social network and blog, no one beyond your immediate carbon…

Last night while I working on a poster design I was amazed at how quickly ideas seemed to come to me but how slow it was to implement the right ideas and form one cohesive great design. Art is much like writing. In order to create something great it must go through several transformations before it reaches a stage that not only the artist is satisfied with but that the viewing public will also find interesting.
Like art I am going through my own personal transformation. …

“Oh the Time does fly”
2am on a rainy night
And I can’t get to sleep
The kind of lonely night
That makes the foolish weep
Over time gone by and lovers gone
And the one they wanted to keep
And so it goes
The what ifs and maybes
And who knows
What could have been baby?
So on and on
Oh the time does fly
When you’re filled with…

Treatese in Favor of "Chromatic Black"
I found this while researching watercolor mixing. I admire the bold application of color, and the reminder to use more color in the reputably basic black.
My original curiosity with this artist was the floral still life whose shallow field, striking application of gold, linear accents, and promenantly placed smatters brought to mind Chris Ogfili's Virgin Mary. The comparison is a stretch, but its been a few years since Festivals and Biennales my final year of…

Art to treat cancer...
http://www.cnn.com/2010/HEALTH/12/02/leukemia.art/index.html?iref=allsearch
This is heartwrenching. For many artists, they feel that creation of their work is central to who they are. Even gives them a reason for being. To this boy, art and life are truly life giving... It is often in our time of greatest combat that our truest and most beautiful emotions can be expressed in our life and…
