I love Maira Kalman's work. It's simple, quirky and spot on. It's great editorial stuff, which is why she's been featured in the New York Times Opinion section. The hell with columns of gray wooly typed opinion, she adds color and creates a great mood. Her last series (from 2007-08? not sure) is out as a book called "Principles of Uncertainty."
