art vs Art hiaku sort of thing

i believe in art
with a small "a". how 'bout you?
small a art is good.

Big A Art Is Bad,
Because It Is So Aloof
And Full Of Itself.

Sometimes small a art
becomes Big A Art... sometimes
but still remains true

to its heart, which is
what its really all about
when you stop to think

of it. I like this
art too, because it is still
small art, like i like.

PS: alright, please don't anyone take this too seriously. It was a deliberately innocent and childish attempt at playing with words and having fun doing so. That is all. Call it art if you like. Big A Art isn't actually so bad, nor is little a art necessarily so good. The 'serious' intent, if indeed there was any underlying one (looking at it from an analyst's point of view, was I suppose to look at the question of pomposity as it sometimes manifests itself in the "Art" world and perhaps illicit a giggle, maybe even a little gentle good natured reflection on the idea, but not to insult any 'serious' artists, seriously. "Serious" artists include both BIG and little artists, and both can produce "serious" art, the premise being, in this case, that "serious" art is art that comes from the heart and is given as such. That's all. Sometimes an art is just an art... to paraphrase some oft-cited old analyst whose name escapes me at the moment. peace and be well -DR
